John Lazzaro Joins VoiceVerified To Spearhead Financial Services Outreach
NEW HOPE, PA – March 29, 2006 – VoiceVerified is pleased to announce the commercial release of VoiceVerified PSP™. The product will debut at the Bank Security Forum and Bank Technology Convention in Orlando, April 5-7.
VoiceVerified PSP operates as a hosted platform to provide voice biometric enrollment and verification services to a wide variety of industries. Initially efforts will be targeting the financial services industry. The service will provide the improved security as mandated by the FFIEC guidance, while giving institutions the opportunity to dramatically improve the customer experience by verifying their identity using the means most natural to them – their voice.
To lead the adoption initiative, VoiceVerified has hired John R. Lazzaro as vice president of financial services and fraud solutions. With more than 20 years serving in various executive positions in the financial services industry, Lazzaro brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in developing fraud detection programs for the authentication software industry.
He will oversee a pilot test of the service involving a regional financial institution this month. The bank will issue a few hundred VoiceVerifiedTM-branded prepaid cards that can be used to make purchases from two online merchants. Purchases will trigger phone calls to buyers so that transactions can be verified through comparison voiceprints.
Prior to joining VoiceVerified, Lazzaro served as senior vice president of the Issuing and Acquiring business group at Cardinal Commerce Corp., an emerging technology company that provides authentication software to banks, governments and businesses. During his tenure, Lazzaro developed global sales strategy, pricing and channel partnerships that resulted in critical market-share growth in several major business regions.
